Yo Soy Así plot

Mario has lived for thirty years in a small room in a house on the fourth floor without an elevator. During the day, because at night he turns into a woman and works in a nightclub, only to 'shrink' back to man when daylight comes. Mario is a transformista. Together with a few other elderly performers, he performs every evening for a very small audience at the variety club 'La Bodega Bohemia' in Barcelona. Mario's main act is called 'Yo Soy Asi' (That's who I am), a song in which he makes fun of his way of 'being'. One day, Mario and the other performers are told they will be fired because the senile owner's wife has sold the tent.
