Xingfu Shenghuo plot
"People with babies: climb through the windows!" A remarkable exclamation to say the least from a head of passenger affairs, but not at Zhengzhou station, China's busiest railway hub. And certainly not on the eve of the Chinese New Year, when 1.2 billion people want to go home. “This Happy Life” is a portrait of Mr. Fu, party secretary and responsible for the political education of personnel at said station and Mr. Liu, head of travel affairs. They are not only filmed during their activities at the indescribably hectic station, but also at home, with their wife and child. Filmmaker Jiang Yue penetrates deeply into the lives and souls of the two men, exposing their dreams, fears and traumas.
