Wootton Bassett: The Town That Remembers plot
Wootton Bassett is a village in the United Kingdom that became world news. It started with the passing of a hearse containing a killed English soldier who had just flown back from Afghanistan. Wootton Bassett was simply on the route and several residents stopped and saluted. The village began to organize itself to pay a last tribute to each deceased soldier. Over the period of a year, interviews were conducted with a number of people involved: villagers, veterans - who often came from far and wide - and relatives of the killed soldiers. For the most part, this is about the organization of the last honor to individual soldier Aaron McCormick of the Royal Irish Regiment, part of the British army.
