In Woody Allen: A Documentary, director Robert Weide (Curb Your Enthusiasm) follows Woody Allen's long career from childhood to his latest hit film Midnight in Paris. To learn all about his writing habits, his ideas about casting and directing and the relationship with his actors, Weide traveled with Woody Allen from the set of You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger in London to the premiere of Midnight in Paris in Cannes. . He filmed at Allen's home, in the editing room and the places where he grew up in Brooklyn. The documentary also highlights Allen's theater work, his contributions to The New Yorker and his performances as a clarinet player.
