Wiebo's War plot
"A Christian family at war with the oil and gas industry"
The story of a Christian community in northern Canada at war with the oil and gas industry. Wiebo Ludwig is suspected of a series of bomb attacks on pipelines near his farm. His struggle has lasted more than a decade, barricading roads and blowing up water wells, even killing a teenage girl. The Ludwigs live according to their own religious values. They are self-sufficient in food and energy, but live in isolation, with seven unmarried adult children and 38 grandchildren. They believe that those who do not share their faith - like the filmmaker David York - live in terrible darkness.
