Which Way Is the Front Line from Here? The Life and Time of Tim Hetherington plot
Photojournalist and filmmaker Tim Hetherington was always looking for humanity during a war. He and Sebastian Kunger spent a year with a group of American soldiers in Afghanistan, resulting in the award-winning documentary Restrepo. Hetherington's images of time spent with the rebel army during the civil war in Liberia and Libya, prior to his untimely death from a mortar shell in 2011, show a rare sense of intimacy that contrasts sharply with the violence around him. . Director Junger merges Hetherington's footage with interviews from family, friends and colleagues to showcase his friend's unique perspective, compassion and intense curiosity about the human mind.
