Where's the Beer and When Do We Get Paid? plot
"An international Heimat movie about sex, drugs, rock ‘ n roll and no retirement funds"
Sigrun Köhler and Wiltrud Baier have followed Jimmy Carl Black for two years for their documentary, including during his American tour with banjo player Eugene Chadbourne. They moved from one uncomfortable hotel room to another. More than anything, Jimmy wants to enjoy a secluded life and completely leave his existence as a drummer. But as he himself says: "It's hard work, man. But I desperately need the money". He is paid $100 a performance on his last tour before his death, too little to survive, too much to die.
