When Two Worlds Collide plot
This documentary is about the struggle between the indigenous people and the Peruvian government over land and the economic situation in the Amazon. President Alan Garcia would like to become a global player with Peru in the extraction of oil, minerals and gas. However, he wants to do this at the expense of hitherto untouched native Amazon land. Strong opposition ensues from Indigenous leader Alberto Pizango, who makes passionate protests against Garcia's destructive actions. However, when Garcia goes undisturbed with his plans, extremely violent resistance ensues.
