What Happiness Is plot
The independent kingdom of Buthan has long been shielded, but is now slowly opening up to the modern world. But without giving in to the now prevailing materialism. In order to prepare for the 'modernisation', a delegation of two government employees is sent into the interior by order of the king of Buthan. These two 'lucky researchers', a woman and a man, must find out what is good for the well-being of the population. They conduct interviews about life and happiness and ask their questions to farmers, monks, merchants, craftsmen, officials, a shaman and many other people. This would make this country, which seems to come straight out of the Middle Ages, a leap into the 21st century. But the happiness of the people is and remains the most important condition.
