We Dare to Dream plot

The Refugee Olympic Team is an international team of refugees that first competed at the Summer Olympics in 2016. The team competes under the Olympic flag, and the Olympic Hymn is played during ceremonies. In 2020, the team consisted of 29 athletes, two of whom were staying in the Netherlands. This documentary follows the athletes on this team as they prepare for the Tokyo Games and during the Games themselves. The athletes hope to find a better life through sport.
