We Always Lie to Strangers plot

'We Always Lie to Strangers' is a story of families, communities, music and tradition set against the backdrop of Branson, Missouri. Branson is a remote city in the Ozark Mountains and one of the top tourist destinations in the United States. Millions of people from across the country, but especially from the Midwest, gather here to return to the old-fashioned, traditional values and for the family entertainment of Branson's music shows, where many families perform together. Because of economic uncertainty and shifting attitudes to social issues, the families are sort of like a scale for both Branson and modern-day America.
