Was Hast Du Gestern Geträumt, Parajanov? plot

For ten years, Faraz Fesharaki documented his exchanges with his family, a digital dialogue between the one who left to study film in Germany and the one who stayed behind in the sprawling Iranian city. Father Hassan and mother Mitra discuss the traditional role of women and present persimmons from the garden. He briefly transforms into Abbas Kiarostami, she remembers her time in prison. Cousin Rahi from Austria completes this intergenerational diaspora conversation with his favorite recipe: toast, mozzarella and egg. Much remains unsaid and only hinted at.
