Voldtægt Som Krigsvåben plot

Is rape a weapon of war? During the Balkan War (1992-1995) yes. Based on statements, the number of rapes is estimated to be between 25 thousand and 40 thousand. Research shows that there was a strategy behind the many rapes. It was a way of humiliating and breaking women. To help the many victims, the Association of Women Victims of War was founded in Sarajevo. Women can tell their story here. The witness statements of several women indicate that after many years the trauma has not been processed. Many suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder. At the same time, the women are all combative, even though the rapists threatened them with death at the time.
