Vladimir Horowitz: The Last Romantic plot

This portrait of the world-famous pianist Vladimir Horowitz (1903-1989) was shot almost entirely in his home on Manhattan's Upper East Side. The film has therefore not become so much a portrait of a celebrity as a portrait of a person in his daily life. Naturally, the then 81-year-old musician often plays the piano, displaying both enormous virtuosity and an infectious sense of humor.
