Vivienne Westwood: Do It Yourself! plot
'Make your own fashion. Get started with your ideas yourself instead of buying my clothes'. That's Vivienne Westwood's motto. The documentary about the controversial fashion designer is therefore appropriately titled 'Do it Yourself'. The English Westwood wants to radiate an optimistic message and inspire people to be creative. 'Do it Yourself' is the long-awaited portrait of the 'queen of punk'. After years of aversion to the media, the English designer has admitted French filmmaker Letmiya Sztalryd to her studio for a year. She also speaks extensively about her ideas and personal past. Her close relationship with her partner Andreas Kronthaler is reflected in the way in which the Do It Yourself and Prince Charming collections were created.
