Virtual JFK: Vietnam If Kennedy Had Lived plot
The documentary examines one of the most talked about "what if" scenarios in American foreign policy history. What would John F. Kennedy have done in Vietnam if he had not been assassinated in 1963 and re-elected in 1964? The film tells what Harvard historian Niall Ferguson calls "virtual history": Assessing the plausibility of hypotheses and the results they would have produced. Using a range of sources, including recently released and never-before-seen archival footage, documents, audio tapes and testimony from a history conference, the question is asked: Does it matter who is president on issues of war and peace?
