Vatican: The Hidden World plot

A BBC film crew spends a year in a world few people have seen. With free access to the Vatican and the people who live and work there, this is a unique profile about the heart of the Catholic Church and the smallest sovereign state in the world. Archivists reveal the secrets of the Vatican, including Galileo's signing will as recorded by the Inquisition. A cardinal takes the film crew deep under St. Peter's Basilica to inspect whether this is actually the tomb of St. Peter. In this documentary, the curators also share their own vision of Michelangelo's extravagant decoration of the Sistine Chapel.
