In 1943, the US military observes a major drop in the morale of their soldiers. This is mainly due to the large losses suffered mainly by the crew of the bombers. In an effort to portray the war in a positive light, Aviation Officer John Derek suggests shooting a propaganda film that showcases a 'dream team' of recruits, each with their own strengths. But then the propaganda film quickly turns into a nightmare...
