Tsahal plot

In this documentary, Lanzmann paints a different picture of the Jewish people: not that of the sheep that were led to the slaughter, but of warriors who return blood for blood. The word Tsahal in Hebrew is the acronym for the Israel Defense Forces. Through detailed portraits of a number of officers and soldiers, Lanzmann provides a picture of the Israeli army and seeks an explanation for its self-confidence and military successes. Lanzmann was looking for the thin thread that connects the defenseless people of the holocaust with the soldiers of the current state of Israel.
