Travesti Odyssey plot

When the Chilean government wanted to make metro tickets more expensive in October 2019, it was the start of days of fierce protests. During this turbulent period, Cabaret Travesía Travesti was staged for the last time, a radical cross-dressing show that was not only entertaining and hilarious, but also razor-sharp and extremely political. Scarcely dressed, in sky-high heels and dazzlingly made up, Maraca Barata, Anastasia María Benavente and Amnesia Letal made short work of the power structures and historical legacy that marginalize the trans community and make it the target of (often deadly) violence. This documentary not only pays tribute to the company, but also examines how it succumbed to mutual differences.
