Trainwreck: The Astroworld Tragedy plot

"People don't die at festivals. What the hell happened?"

In November 2021, some 50,000 music fans gathered at Houston’s NRG Park for Travis Scott’s third Astroworld music festival—the first since the COVID-19 pandemic. But the event’s security staff struggled to manage the large crowd, and the situation turned tragic when the crowd surged toward the stage for the crowd-puller. The result was a fatal crush that became the subject of fevered speculation and condemnation in the media.

Directing duo Yemi Bamiro and Hannah Poulter present a compelling narrative of this terrible event in this brilliant documentary. As a viewer, it is sometimes unbelievable to see how this could have spiraled so out of control due to mismanagement. Despite this, Trainwreck unfortunately remains true to its brand, which means everything has to be presented as sensationally and with forced suspense as possible. At times, it smacks more of exploiting the heavy history for personal gain, but the foundation remains too important for that. The sometimes one-sided approach is regrettable, although it is entirely logical to emphasize the anger these people felt. Incidentally, I agree with my fellow user that the music by Travis Scott is discussed for quite a long time.
