Toroboro: The Name of the Plants plot

Around the turn of the century, a renowned ethnobotanical study took place in the village of Quehueiri-Ono, located in the Ecuadorian Amazon. It was a collaboration between botanists and the Waorani, an indigenous tribe that lived in isolation until the 1950s. Director of this film project, Manolo Sarmiento, reunites the researchers and the inhabitants for a new expedition, during which thousands of endangered plants will be given a scientific name in addition to their Waorani name.
