Torn from the Flag: A Film by Klaudia Kovacs plot

In 1956, a spontaneous and massive popular uprising against the Stalinist regime erupted in Hungary. Made to commemorate the 50th anniversary of that uprising, this documentary combines archive footage of the Budapest riots with interviews with participants in the uprising. The interviewees also include a Soviet soldier, a former member of the Hungarian communist security service, European parliamentarian Otto von Habsburg and Henry Kissinger.
