In this documentary, Werner Herzog goes in search of the story and myth behind the composer Carlo Gesualdo. Herzog travels to the city where Gesualdo's story took place. In addition to his musical talents, the murder of his wife and servant is also discussed. However, nowhere does Herzog say whether he is in the legend or in the truth of Gesualdo.
