Tikotin - Het Fascinerende Leven van een Kunsthandelaar in Tijden van Oorlog en Vrede plot

Felix Tikotin (1893-1986) was a Jewish-German art dealer in Japanese art. After he was the only one in his battalion to survive the First World War, from the 1920s he traveled regularly by Trans-Siberian Express from Berlin to Japan to buy prints. In 1933 he fled from the Nazis and ended up in Amsterdam by accident. During the war he went into hiding with his young family, all four of them survived close to Amsterdam. Although there was little interest in Japanese art, he managed to rebuild his art trade in the post-war Netherlands.
