Tibet: A Buddhist Trilogy plot
Divided into three parts, this documentary takes us to the mystical inner heart of Buddhism without explaining this way of life. The first part is set in Dharamsala (Northern India) where the Dalai Lama in his dual role as exiled secular leader and spiritual teacher is followed in speeches and meetings. He calls on people to preserve the unique values of their culture. The second part is about the life of monks in one of the oldest Buddhist monasteries, in remote caves and in an old village. The third part, in Ladakh, shows monks working on 'a beautiful ornament', a ceremony to invoke the goddess Tara; she can transform evil forces in the world.
