Theresienstadt - Film of Waarheid plot

Video installation examining the historical and emotional significance of the Nazi propaganda film Theresienstadt. In 1944, the Nazis produced a documentary about the Theresienstadt concentration camp. With this film they wanted to make the outside world believe that the Jewish population was treated well. When the film was finished, however, the Germans rejected their own lie for showing. The document was forgotten and largely lost. The video installation by Kees Hin and Sandra van Beek shows survivors and experts who react via television monitors to the film remnants edited by Hin and Van Beek.
