"Never believe anything until it is officially denied"

In his latest documentary 'The War on Democracy', investigative journalist John Pilger shows how American governments in the past century undermined many democratically elected governments in Latin America and subjected civilian populations there to dictatorial regimes. Archive material and extensive interviews, such as with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, alternate. Despite everything, Pilger has faith in the people's resilience and fighting spirit and does not consider the power of the Western yoke invincible.
