The Virgin Diaries plot

Just before she is married off, a young Moroccan woman (Fatiha) breaks all taboos and undertakes a special search for answers to life's questions about sex, chastity and Islam. In this quest she is accompanied by her friend, the American documentary maker Jessica Woodworth. Together they travel through Morocco in search of answers. It takes them past old Islam schools, camel markets and the doctor's offices in the cities.
