The Smell of Paradise plot

The Smell of Paradise is a journey along the fringes of Islam, through Pakistan, Afghanistan, Chechnya and Qatar, portraying the struggles of individuals trapped in the maelstrom of recent history. The film introduces us to the ideas of freedom fighters and military rulers like Ismael Khan, who followed the revolutionary ideas of Zelimkhan Yandarbiev, according to an interview he gave two weeks before he was killed by a car bomb.
