The Sixth plot

This documentary takes you back to the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol through six first-person testimonies and never-before-seen original footage. The speakers include Congressman Jamie Raskin, DC Metropolitan Chief of Police Robert J. Contee III, his officers Daniel Hodges and Christina Laury, photographer Mel D. Cole and congressional staffer Erica Loewe. Their intertwined experiences share an unvarnished account of how racism, service and truth defined that pivotal day.

The story of the unimaginable events of January 6th - and even more unimaginable, how that had no political consequences. And to make it completely absurd, we now know that the whole bunch of troublemakers from screw loose to state danger is walking around freely again - has been unleashed on the United States.

What continues to amaze me is that apparently no one wakes up from this film that clearly gives a cool and neutral picture of the reality of that day. With parts that should make you think - such as the fact that the majority of the rioters are clearly heavily on mind-altering substances, and have gone way beyond any boundary of reasonableness.

You would think that a film like this would be picked up by everyone who is against dictatorships. But no, we apparently prefer to be entertained by a superhero than to face reality. We prefer the next bite-sized piece of entertainment from the oligarchy's box than something that makes us think. And perhaps it is also simply the case that the oligarchy has no interest in this film being seen. Let alone understood.
