The Silence of the Banana Trees plot

In a leafy neighborhood in Budapest, the house of the Hungarian seventy-something Mihály Fekete is full of the works of his daughter Réka. It's clear from the way he talks about her that she plays an important role in his life, but they haven't spoken in years. Her decision to keep her distance from her father is painful for him, especially now that she is terminally ill. Despite his grief, Mihály has resigned himself to it.
