The Secret Spitfires plot
"Secret Spitfires" tells the story of young girls, boys, women, and a handful of older men who secretly built thousands of Spitfires during World War II. Spitfires were the Luftwaffe's arch-enemy and the instrument that thwarted Hitler's invasion plans. At great cost to itself, the Luftwaffe was ordered to destroy the Spitfire factories. Once this task was accomplished, the Germans were convinced they had stopped Spitfire production for good. But that wasn't the case. After the Luftwaffe destroyed the main factories in Southampton, Spitfire production was moved to shadow factories in small towns and villages.
