The Recycling Myth plot

Garbage islands in the ocean, sea turtles choking on straws, plastic mountains in Asia. More and more people are becoming aware of the damage caused by a material that lasts forever. But there is a solution: more recycling. More and more packaging is being labelled '100% recyclable', to reassure consumers. This documentary investigates whether this is actually the case and what interests are involved. Can these recycling promises be reduced to 'greenwashing', which justifies the production of ever more plastic?
