The Other Side of the Country plot

"In Northern Uganda, war has destroyed an entire people"

For twenty years Uganda has been raging civil war between the government and rebel groups. Every year, rebels kidnap thousands of children to enlist as child soldiers. As a measure, the government forced 1.7 million people to live in large-scale camps to hinder food supplies to the rebels and to avoid kidnapping new "recruits". However, this is far from the promised protection, because the population in these camps faces certain death.
