The Other Dream Team plot
After winning a gold medal with the Soviet Union at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, and thus the victory over the United States, Lithuanians Sarunas Marciulionis and Arvydas Sabonis became the banners of basketball for their oppressors. Four years later, after the fall of the Soviet Union, they came as symbols of the new democracy to help free their country from the shackles of communism, and they were ready to help the newly independent Lithuania win the medal in the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games. 'The Other Dream Team' shows their experiences behind the Iron Curtain, where elite athletes were subjected to the atrocities of communist rule.
