The Mystery of Van Gogh's Ear plot

Documentary in which new discoveries attempt to solve the mystery surrounding the severed ear of the world-famous Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh. Jeremy Paxman travels to the places that were important in the research: Vincent's house in the south of France, a library in California and of course the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. Why did the artist do it? And who were the unknown girls to whom he would have given the severed ear?
