The Maelstrom: A Family Chronicle plot

"A Family Chronicle"

Documentary about the Jewish family Peereboom who died in the holocaust. Max Peereboom filmed the daily life of his family in the 1930s and early 1940s. Péter Forgács used these images to tell their story. The recordings are interspersed with family recordings of the Reichskommissar for the Netherlands, Arthur Seyss-Inquart, appointed by Hitler, on the Clingendael estate in Wassenaar.
