Sean DeLear (1964–2017) was a colorful and exuberant transgressive personality who dazzled Los Angeles's underground music and art scenes in the late 1990s and 2000s. He suddenly emerged as a truly groundbreaking cultural figure with the posthumous publication in 2022 of his intimate and explicit teenage diaries from 1979. "The Life of Sean DeLear" is a portrait of this charismatic loner.
