The Leader, His Driver and the Driver's Wife plot

"A Black Comedy About the White Right"

Documentary maker Nick Broomfield travels to South Africa with a small production team in the early 1990s to make a portrait of the leader of the extreme right-wing party AWB, Eugène Terre'Blanche. Broomfield desperately tries to get an interview with the leader, but he keeps getting fobbed off. Meanwhile, Broomfield has many conversations with Terre'Blanche's driver, JP Meyer and his wife Anita Meyer about the leader, Apartheid and possible 'solutions' to all problems in South Africa.
