I agree with The Guardian's review, this documentary is primarily about sensationalism rather than providing real answers in this horrific case.

Who benefits from seeing a mother crying loudly and filled with stress over her daughter's arrest? I can't say whether she's guilty or not, but I do know that healthcare in England is terrible, and people are dying, partly due to a lack of qualified and other staff...

Nurse Lucy Letby was convicted in July 2024 of the murder of seven infants and the attempted murder of six others. This was remarkable because there were no eyewitnesses and only (a great deal of) circumstantial evidence. Shortly after Letby's conviction, a panel of learned men reviewed the evidence. They concluded there was sufficient evidence that the babies died for other reasons. Sivyer explores the various perspectives, but for anyone who has followed the news on this case, there's nothing new under the sun. The use of AI characters to conceal the identities of the two main participants directly involved undermines their statements.
