The Inner Tour plot
After many decades, a number of Palestinian refugees who lost their homes and land after the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948 are returning home, even if only for three days. They drive through Israel for a weekend in a tourist bus from a travel agency in East Jerusalem. Most passengers have never returned here since they left. Some have never even met a Jew or seen the sea. In an intensely melancholic cadence, the film reveals the fate of the unusual tourists. The windows of the bus give a unique picture of Israel and its society, from the emotions and points of view of these special travelers.
