The Guest plot

In 2021, the border area between Poland and Belarus will be transformed into a three-kilometre-wide forbidden zone, where refugees will be trapped in an inhumane manner. They are the stakes in a political game: Belarus supposedly guarantees free passage to the EU, but in Poland pushbacks follow, with refugees being forcibly pushed across the border. Polish Maciek lives with his family near the border. He has taken in an exhausted Syrian refugee, 27-year-old Alhyder. Once he has regained his strength, Alhyder faces the big question: what now? Where can he go without endangering himself or Maciek?
