The Good Life plot
Those who did not have an easy time at home as a child can comfort themselves: a perfect childhood is not everything. At least, for 56-year-old Annemette. Nothing is left of all the wealth that the family once owned - archival images give a small impression. The villa in Portugal has been exchanged for a small apartment, where Annemette lives on a pension with her mother. Annemette doesn't seem to realize that the days of servants, endlessly strolling along the surf and lazing by the pool are now gone for good. Without realizing it herself, Annemette still plays the spoiled little princess, once so adored by her wealthy daddy. Her mother is blamed time and again for the 'hell' she has to live in. At the same time, her mother is also the only one with whom, with a glass of red wine in hand, she can completely dream away at the family films of the past. The women, who have been followed by the camera for several years, seem to have condemned themselves to each other in their joint desire for the impossible: back to the past.
