The Essence of Eva plot

The American singer Eva Cassidy (1963-1996) needed just one solo album to convince the world of her exceptional musical talent. Her renditions of songs such as Over the Rainbow, Fields of Gold, and Songbird became timeless classics. However, she never witnessed this worldwide success herself. She died of skin cancer at the age of 33. The documentary tells the story of an independent artist who always remained true to her musical vision.
