The rise of the Black Panthers radically changed the struggle of black Americans for equal rights. After only a few years, the party went down due to internal struggles and divergent priorities, but above all to intimidation and attacks by the local police and the FBI. Prominent former members and sympathizers, politicians and others involved look back on the turbulent rise and fall of the Black Panthers.
