The Abduction of Milly Dowler plot

In 2002, 13-year-old English Amanda (Milly) Dowler disappears in broad daylight in Walton-on-Thames. Not only are the police starting an investigation, but Robert Murdoch's infamous British tabloid News of the Wold is also trying to solve the case. The journalists go to great lengths to write a smooth article and they thwart the police investigation. The police make crucial mistakes, which means it takes years to solve the case. Archive footage is supplemented with interviews with police officers, former journalists, witnesses and friends of Milly Dowler.
