Terra Femme plot
You can hardly imagine it, but a hundred years ago large parts of the world were still terra incognita for most people. Travel was reserved for wealthy adventurers, mostly of the male sex. With the advent of lightweight film cameras, the world opened up visually to anyone who could afford a movie ticket. 'Terra Femme' is edited from images made by curious women who traveled the world in the first half of the last century. There was Mrs. Dixon, a widow from Philadelphia, passing the Arctic Circle on a pleasure cruise. She captured in crystal clear images how lightly dressed people slither across an icy plain, against the backdrop of impressive snow-capped mountains.
