Tchau Brasil plot

Director Annelotte Verhaagen followed the adoption process of a Dutch couple for over two years: from the first information meetings and the family survey to the trip to Brazil, where they met their almost four-year-old adoptive daughter for the first time. The documentary shows that, at first glance, adoption seems to be a simple solution for a rich and childless couple and a disadvantaged child in the developing world. In practice, however, it is less simple.
