Taiyô no Tô plot

Taro Okamoto became world famous when he designed his infamous 'tower of the sun' for the 1970 World Expo in Osaka, Japan. However, the ideas and problems encountered in its realization became intertwined with the evolution of Japanese culture. In this documentary, director Kosai Sekine takes us on a philosophical journey that transcends the visual limits of documentaries. Taking the tower as its starting point, this documentary combines various art forms, including dance and animation, to show what Okamato stood for.
